My Specialities As A Therapist

Like many counsellors I can help with issues such as:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Low self-worth
  • Relationship and family conflicts
  • Losses
  • Adjusting to changes and transitions
  • Just feeling stuck and overwhelmed by life

Also like many mental health professionals, I draw on a mix of approaches and therapy models to assist the people I work with, depending on why they've come to me, what they've already tried, and what methods turn out to click best for them. I can help clients build up their present-day coping skills, as well as working with them to explore and heal their deeper wounds.

That aside, I do have a few areas I'm particularly knowledgeable and passionate about:

Social Challenges - My main specialty is helping clients who have interpersonal struggles, such as shyness, social anxiety, trouble having conversations or making friends, and the kinds of insecurities and baggage which tend to go along with that.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy - IFS is a powerful experiential approach that works with and heals your inner "parts", in a way that goes beyond just talking about your problems from a more detached, analytical headspace.
